In the course of curating this exhibition and writing the catalogue I have met and have been in contact with numerous people who have offered me information, help and advice and of course images. Inclusion of contemporaneous lithographs, most of which have been made during the last five years, was an important intention from the outset. It has been most interesting and gratifying therefore, to see that lithography is still so popular and is being used in inventive and imaginative ways to create a wide range of images.

Thanks are due to all those artists who have become involved with SPGW; many of the artists have also donated one or more of their prints to the University of Wales Collection, which is currently housed at The School of Aberystwyth. This collection already holds important works by British and International artists and as such, it is an invaluable resource for the teaching of Fine Art at the College.

I wish also to thank Ruth Lambert at MOMA Wales, for her enthusiasm and support for this project. Special thanks are due also to: Gordon Miles at Summit Frames in Machynlleth, for framing all the work for the exhibition; to Martin Crampin, web site designer for www.spgw.co.uk and also to my father at The Lodge Studio, Dundrum — whose support has enabled the exhibition to travel to The Bankside Gallery in London.
