Lithograph by Raymond DeCicco.

I have been an independent studio artist for many years, initially creating surrealistic imagery in pencil, etching and intaglio print. Thus my interest in the qualities of lithography as a graphic medium of expression.

I worked with a Master Printer of stone lithography and eventually taught myself plate lithography, which allowed me to control and print my own work. I also explored and mastered oil painting and watercolour.

Well aware of modern trends, I use materials prepared in traditional and contemporary methods, with a ‘low-technology-high technique’ approach. I favour hand done work and my lithographs and paintings can take weeks and months to complete.

Through the use of naturalistic realism that borders on surrealism and rich detail and colour, I create images that are contemplative and transcendental visions of the natural order of life.
