To inform my teaching at the School of Art Aberystwyth, University of Wales, I am constantly looking for new subject matter and different ways to approach it through printmaking. Since being awarded the Crawshay Memorial Travelling Scholarship in 2006, I have spent two months visiting the desert landscape of Arizona, USA.

During this visit I was fortunate enough to forge links with staff at the University of Arizona in Tucson, where I was able to access the print workshops in which I could print my editions. A number of collaborative projects between both staff and students from Aberystwyth and Tucson have resulted from my visit.
