When printing I am always interested in the light that comes from a particular colour and how it behaves next to or over another.
Although outwardly complex there is a relative simplicity in the creation of images with many choices being made at the press, the intention is to make colour achieve luminosity in unfamiliar ways.
My prints have colour coming through colour, sometimes a clearing away of the surface to show light and depth beneath.
A natural progression is to separate these elements into physical reality building three dimensional print sculptures which incorporate lighting mechanisms.
My work becomes more and more about the activity of making.
