Bits and Pieces

Ginny Reed is a multimedia artist, who works across a variety of disciplines, including video, performance and photography. This lithograph entitled Bits and Pieces resulted from collaboration with Tamarind trained Master Printer Lee Turner at Hole Editions – a studio recently established in Newcastle upon Tyne.

An exploration of the remnants of daily life, Reed used acetate film with an adhesive surface to collect the dust and detritus from beneath furniture and the corner spaces of her home.

These accumulations are reflected in the process whereby, transferred to positive plates, multiple layers were built up to produce the final print.
