A Faulty Dissection
Collaboration between Sandie Henderson and Sarah Robinson
Our collaboration was inspired by the Stone Plate Grease Water exhibition of International Contemporary Lithography and a common interest in re-establishing lithographic practice within the Printmaking department at the University of Central Lancashire.
My current practice encompasses drawing based research into surgical and dental instruments, investigating these menacing images through lithography, by printing onto plastic sheets and Perspex in order to construct three dimensional ‘Dissection Blocks’. This work is intrinsic to the development of a science - art installation and collaboration with Sandie Henderson incorporating drawing, lithography and a horse skeleton.
Since graduating from The Royal College of Art my work has developed a strong investigative drawing base juxtaposing the human form and its uneasy relationship with medical science. |
