At the age of twelve I had an excellent teacher who first inspired me to pick up a pencil and to draw. Since then I have been taught by many different teachers and I have acquired many skills of drawing in different disciplines including printmaking. Currently I now find that lithography is the best medium for me to make drawings. I have become captivated by the stones; I have a sort of romance with them.
The idea for this print which is one of a series is about rescuing women’s values such as subtlety, intuition and other similar qualities. My intention is to revalue femininity as it is important in current times to understand that men and women are the ‘same but different’. In my research for this series I became interested in Greek mythology, in particular the myth of Las Moiras.
